¿WHAT CLOTHES AND EQUIPMENT SHOULD I BRING?

The weather is UNPREDICTABLE, so expect heavy rains, snowfall and furious winds at any time. The key here is dress in LAYERS:
LAYER 1 Closest to your body. (Insulated underwear or base layer). Warm socks.
LAYER 2 Cotton/ synthetic shirt or t-shirt. Hiking pants: they work in hot and cold climates and they dry quickly.
LAYER 3 Sweater/ fleece / down feather jacket
LAYER 4 Water proof pants and jacket. (Goretex, eVent or similar). Water proof shoes. We will hike across natural uneven terrain that can be sandy, muddy, snowy and wet so boot-like waterproof trekking shoes are ideal, so that you can enjoy all nature hikes and walks.
Extras: warm hat and gloves.
Hiking poles are very useful and very much recommended by previous travelers.

¿WHY IS IT IMPORTANT THAT I GIVE MY NAME AS IT APPEARS ON MY PASSPORT WHEN BOOKING AIR?

It’s very important that the name on your ticket matches your travel documents exactly, please double check the spelling of your name when making your reservation. If you don’t, you’re risking expensive change fees or even having to completely re-book your trip.

¿HOW MUCH SHOULD I TIP?

Our suggested daily tip for our trip leaders is from 12 to 15 american dollars a day per person. The rest of the tips for drivers, local guides, restaurants, etc. are included in the trip price.

¿IS THE FOOD MENU CUSTOMIZABLE?

Of course, even though we have fixed menus to facilitate and speed up our services, if you have any dietary restriction we will be happy to accommodate it at your convenience. We can serve gluten free, vegetarian or even vegan.

¿DO I NEED TRAVEL INSURANCE?

Patagonia is a very isolated area and the climatic conditions can be very extreme it is recommended that you take out travel insurance in your home country, before departure, as there are no insurance companies around to help.
